Canonical tag for "posts" page

The canonical tag for the “posts page” is always the “posts page”.
I want to make it the posts page on another site, at different domain name.
I.e. site1.com/home/blog should have canonical tag URL of site2.com/news
I put in the canonical tag in the “advanced” section on the posts page, but it still displays “this” page, not “that” page.
How do I get it to display a cross domain URL for the canonical tag on the posts page?
