Despite configuring the blog archive with Elementor and ensuring it is correctly designated as a WordPress archive, the self-canonical setting does not seem to be effective on blog pagination.

To provide more context, the pagination links on the pages have the appropriate attributes (next and prev), and I have verified that the structure aligns with the desired settings. However, the pages are not self-canonical.

In an attempt to troubleshoot the problem, I installed the Yoast test, reset various options, and optimized data, but unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue.

So currently page 2, 3 or else, are canonical to the first blog page and not itself, any solution for this ?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @1r2e3d4a

Thanks for reaching out about your canonical URLs in Elementor. Can you let me know how the content in the archive page was created? What Elementor widget was used?

    Hi,
The page is set as an archive page for blog posts, and the listing/loop created using listing grid from crocoblocks and set to archive, the pagination widget as well. This have nothing to do with the widget being used since the url structure for pages is using the standard wordpress structure for archives right ?

Since the rel="prev" & link rel="next" attributes are present, it’s being treated as a paginated archive, and self-referencing canonical should work. Resetting the indexables with the Yoast Test Helper plugin should have fixed issues with previously optimized data that may be invalid.

Due to the nature of the issue, we’ll need to take a look at your specific setup. However, we are unable to do it here as this is a public forum. So, if you could consider purchasing a?Yoast SEO Premium?subscription since it comes with email support, we can investigate the issue further directly on your setup privately.
