    Good day.
I had to adjust the permalinks and the product titles for all my products because of copy rights. Now the canonical URL and OG etc. are no longer correct. How can I delete the old links and regenerate them? Yoast Seo doesn’t seem to do this automatically. and I cannot process each product individually because there are over 30,000! Now when I click Share Facbook, Facebook says “Page not found” and the Facebook debugger doesn’t work either. Many thanks for your help

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @kobler,

Thank you for reaching out. We’re sorry for the trouble you experience.

Please use the Yoast Test Helper plugin to get this resolved.

Can you please try to do the following:

    1) Install the Yoast Test Helper plugin, found here https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/yoast-test-helper/
    2) Go to Tools → Yoast Test
    3) Click the Reset Indexables tables & migrations button.
    4) Go to SEO → Tools.
    5) Click the Start processing and speed up your site now button and let it complete.

    Thanks!!!
ok that shouldn’t be a problem that i have so many products? The process “Yoast indexing status” Object 3600 of 181136 processed. is started and is very slow at the beginning and suddenly it is finished. Is that normal? Can I check whether the process has been completed?

    Hi @kobler,

    Thank you for your reply.

In general, even if you have a lot of products, it should work if the site resources can handle it. The process can be stopped either because the site resources are limited or there is a conflict with a plugin or theme.

There are two things here which you can do:

    A) For (extremely) large sites or sites that time out, we recommend doing nothing. Yoast SEO will “lazy load” the new indexables feature as you, your authors, and your visitors read, write, and update content. In a few weeks, try running the site-wide scan again. If it still times out, you can continue to lazy load the content on your site until the process is low enough for your server resources or ask your server admin or web host to temporarily increase the timeout length while the process completes. Once it’s done, you should not need to do it again.

    B) You can try to run the wp yoast index WP-CLI command if you have access to the CLI. You can read more about this here: https://developer.yoast.com/customization/yoast-seo/indexables-cli/.
