Canonical URLs

  • I just need abit of help/clarification regarding this.

    I’ve got 2.9.2 on and it seems that I noticed my url (www.felixker.c*m) loads on both www.* and without www.

    Is it right to function this way with canonical URLs enabled?

    Correct me if I’m wrong: If I have the blog URL set as without www, then if any user enters my site via www, it should redirect my users.

  • Are you using custom permalinks? Setting the permalink structure causes WP to add lines to your .htaccess file that will remove the www if a user types it in, and make your site always resolve without it.

    Oh, then it seems weird. My site doesn’t automatically redirect users and remove the www*. I have to still use no-www by matt.
