Our team typically activates Yoast and works on basic SEO prior to site launch, meaning we are still set to our temporary working URL such as mytempurl.hosting.com. When we launch the site, we are finding 2 things happening:
    1) The meta description, despite being correct on the back end, is showing incorrect after google index (only showing page content/footer)
    2) The Canonical URL does NOT get changed to the live domain. It is still set to temp.

Is there a way to refresh these Urls without having to do a search and replace everytime?

Additionally, are these two issues related? Despite asking google to recrawl after fix, there is no change.

    Thank you!

@purpleme3 Regarding the incorrect canonical, can you please try the following?:

      1. Install & activate the?Yoast Test Helper plugin
      2. Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
      3. Hit the “Reset Indexables & Migrations” button
      4. Under SEO → Tool, click the “Click here to speed up your site now” button.

As for the issue with the meta description, can you share the URL of one of the pages where this issue is occurring, so that we can check whether the meta description is being output correctly?
