Cant able to login to wp dashboard after 3.8.3 update

I’m having the same problem too. Tried a couple things from past forum posts, but they didn’t work for me.

@erokwillb @jbhkwg can you guys listout the plugins what you use?? so that we can try to sort out the problem…

My another site has no issues running wordpress 3.8.3. It also doesn’t have “w3 total cache” installed.

I saw somewhere caching plugins might cause this problem. so do you guys use w3 total cache?

YES. I have contacted them earlier. they said they were aware of this problem and also said this is wordpress update bug

To access your dashboard rename the file
/wp-content/object-cache.php in /wp-content/object-cache.disabled.php

This is only a workaround until WP correct this bug’s update.

PS: that’s disabled the cache so your site can experience some slow acces.

@vijay well thanks a lot for your help then, I also opened a ticket. I guess the only thing to do is to wait. We need more siteground users experience to testify!

Seems it has been sorted already… for some reason I had to reset my password and now it works. Thanks everybody, panic is over

@jbhkwg I still have the problem.. Did you got any reply from siteground team?

@vijay yes, they said they managed to fix the problem but had to change my password (this is why I had to reset it, I hadn’t seen the post yet)
