    Hi guys,
    when i try to login to my dashboard it gets redirected to “example.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F”

    That page says,

    “No Update Required
    Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!
    Continue”

    It seems that my website got automatically updated to 3.8.3.

    I cant able to login to my wp dashboard. please help!

    @enigma86d – I am using w3 total cache plugin. for me after renaming /wp-content/object-cache.php to object-cache.disabled.php it worked. And then i can able to login to my dashboard. Then I cleared all caches.

    Then a new object-cache.php file got created automatically. then I deleted the old object-cache.disabled.php. NOW EVERYTHING WORKS FINE FOR ME.

    I didnt marked it resolved. It happened automatically

    Hi Vijay,

    Thanks for the advice. If the file is regenerated seems like a good thing to try but it seems my wordpress instalation is strage.. this is what I did:
    1) renamed object-cache.php to something else
    2) logged into wp
    3) I had no cache module activated; had just wp super cache installed but not activated and I clicked to delete the module
    4) logged out
    5) renamed object-cache.php back and tried to login but had same redirect issue

    So I don’t know how to clear my cache since I don’t use any cache modules..

    Thanks again,

    @enigma86d – If you deleted the module then delete object-cache.php too. (take backup before deleting it)

    or

    Have you tried updating your wordpress to 3.9 when you got access to your dashboard?

    or

    have you tried activating your “wp super cache” once you can able to login to your dashboard? without activating it, new file will not be regenerated. once it got activated, clear full cache. then new file will be regenerated.

    I am not sure whether it will work for you, because i am using w3 total cache plugin

    @vijay,

    I re-installed WP super cache. As soon as I either activate cache or delete cache using module’s settings a new file object-cache.php is created and dashboard stops working immediately.

    I’m reluctant to upgrading to WP 3.9 thinking that if I have a issue with the current installation the upgrade may create other problems as well.

    @enigma86d – I really don’t know what to do further!! for me it worked! WordPress might have fixed this bug in the new update. But do it if you want! take backup before updating

    @vijay,

    Yap, good idea, I’ll make a back-up of files & database and try this.
    Thanks again!

    Tried updating to WP 3.9 but it didn’t fixed the issue.

    Also I noticed other problems (on both 3.8 and 3.9); if I randomly access the settings page of different modules, sometimes the page loads but sometimes I get a white page; when this happens then the blog doesn’t work at all; if I then request the main page (www.pescuitlafeeder.ro) I also get a white page (even if I try to view it form a different device tablet/laptop). I try a few times and them it recovers so I can see the blog and dashboard again.
    I didn’t had any issues before the automatic update. Although WordPress recommends automatic update I’ll never allow this to happen again as its the single way for me to keep the web site to a good working state.

    @enigma86d – I just read some comments on “wp super cache” plugin page. some of them are having this white page issue.
    link: https://www.ads-software.com/support/view/plugin-reviews/wp-super-cache

    So it might be plugin problem. You might have to wait for a plugin update or change to any other cache plugin
