Can't Access Admin Area Of Website.

  • I am unable to access the admin area of my website. It says page cannot be found (HTTP 404 – File not found) The website itself is running ok, but I cant update my site. I need help asap. Does anyone know a solution? Thanks.

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin folder from a fresh download of WordPress.
