I had a backup of my site from a few days ago. I deleted the contents of the wp admin folder and replaced them with the backup. I am still getting the same error.

i’m having the same problem. there must be a problem with the 3.4.1 version

    Yes, have backup.
I think it is a problem with my host ?
Host is godaddy and I tried to upgrade from the admin panel ( because it was telling me to upgrade and click on the link there) in retrospect I remember that go daddy sends a note to upgrade through their services when they are using it so maybe I upgraded past the version go daddy is currently using or accepts? Just a theory.
The godaddy people did say they only recommend you upgrade versions they use ( behind the curve a bit from what they called bleeding edge upgrades) so it seems possible.

I replaced the contents from my wp-includes folder from a back up that was a few days old. I have my dashboard back. That was a broad fix. I would have rather known the culprit file. Thanks everyone.
