    Hello,

I have staged my website with no errors. Once I click to go back to my staging website dashboard, I cannot do anything there, when I click plugins etc nothing comes up except a orange banner, where the content should be, saying “The site”.

Any ideas what is going on here? I have tried clearing cache on live website, then staging. Logged out and in, reinstalling, creating a new staging website. Same thing.

    Thanks,

    Hi @justgotravelling

it looks like there are some serious issues on your site. Was it working before or happened it immediately after creating the staging site initially?

Please enable the WordPresss debug.log file on the staging site, try to open again the site and then send me the debug.log file to my email or publish it here. (I recommend to send it via email as the debug.log can contain sensitive server information).

It should contain the exact error which is preventing your site from being accessed.

How to activate the debug log and where to find the debug.log:
    https://wp-staging.com/docs/enable-wordpress-debug-log-mode/

If you want me to debug the issue and have a look at your site you can reach me at support [at] wp-staging.com

    Thank you for your reply.

Before I do this, I just want to clarify that my main LIVE site works fine.

The problem I have, is when I use the WP Stage plugin, the staged sites dashboard is the problem. When I click ‘plugins’ etc on the left hand side nothing happens. Just the ‘The site’ banner.

Should I still do what you said even though the live site works fine? Seems like a WP Stage plugin issue?

    Hi,

    > Just the ‘The site’ banner.

This is not helpful at all. I would need to see at least screenshots of your error, better the mentioned debug.log.

    > Should I still do what you said even though the live site works fine?

    Yes! As I’ve already written:

“Please enable the WordPresss debug.log file on the staging site, try to open again the site and then send me the debug.log file to my email or publish it here.'”

This has nothing to with your live site and will help us to resolve the issues you have on the staging site, only. So I do not really get your last question.
