Can't access comments

I have a strange problem. I can’t access the comments section from the dashboard as an administrator. I get the “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” error.

What makes this a strange problem is that I have access to every other aspect of WordPress. Settings, users, plugins, posts, everything is working fine. It’s only the comments that give me the error.

I created a new admin user to see if that would help, and I also forced a a database upgrade to see if there was something there that wouldn’t work, but none of those things had any effect.

Anyone have any ideas on this one? I’m stumped.
