Hi. I’ve uploaded pdf on the same domain and checked with https & http to make sure that it’s not on different protocol.

    It says on the plugin
    Cannot access file! https://www.visible.my/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/pet-film-banner-specification_130319104219.pdf

The file link could be open like normal in a separate window.

I’ve contacted my hosting company and they said,
“As per checking, we had tried to disable the WAF and several server settings in order to rectify the issues but it seems like the errors still persist.

Therefore, may request user to check with the plugin support as the links provided and request them to provide alternative solution on your side as we could believe there might internal issues with the plugin which not be supported by the CORBS from their end.”

May I know what should I do to get it to work?

Thanks In Advance. Please help. ??

    Hi,

You are using another plugin that uses similar libraries to work with, but different versions. Maybe due to conflict.
Have you tried disabling the interactive flipbook?

Also, there is an error from the plugin.
    https://www.visible.my/wp-content/plugins/interactive-3d-flipbook-powered-physics-engine/assets/templates/default-book-view.html

Do let me know if it works after disabling the other flipbook plugin. I am sure you are testing these plugins and won’t be using both in your site.

    Hi deip,

Thank you for your prompt response. I’ve just deactivated all the other flipbook plugin now. Same error occurs and download link pop up by itself now. Please check and help. ??

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    It’s working now.

The download is popping up because you might have IDM, or other quirky download managers, which hijacks browsers and interrupts file access. You have chosen to install such software on your computer, so it’s obvious to have interference.

Thanks for this info, we will look into the compatibility issue with another flipbook plugin as it’s necessary to avoid this situation in future.

    Hi deip,

Yes, I’ve IDM installed. I’ve disabled it and it’s working. Great help. Thank you and much appreciated.

However, I would like to prevent the same thing happen to visitor that has IDM installed. I can’t ask them to disable it just to visit my site nor I would like them to have a downloaded copy. What should I do?

Unrelated question. Is it possible to link the short code to a photo. Let’s say I want to put 4 different pdf onto one same page. Having 4 grey boxes looks odd. So is it possible to put 4 image and each will link to different booklet shortcode and reader pop up when clicked?

    Hi,

I understand your concern, but installing such software is a customer choice. It’s just like installing a hack we can’t do much towards that. Even google’s youtube videos get hijacked by such plugins.
Our plugin provides a viewer to read PDF files. securing PDF is totally different domain.

Your PDF is just one page, use an image instead. That won’t get downloaded automatically.

    Second question:
Use lightbox shortcode. that is what you are looking for.
It will be similar to https://dearflip.com/flipbook-examples/

    Dear Deip,

Sorry. One more question. In order to use lightbox shortcode, I would have to install a lightbox plugin right?

    Plugin Author Deepak Ghimire

    (@deip)

    No, It’s inbuilt,

In the shortcode section, see there are shortcodes generated from each flipbook.
use the shortcode under thumb tab.

It’s in the top right section of the flipbook post.

    It’s like:
    [dflip id=”99″ type=”thumb”][/dflip]

Also, add a thumbnail in the select thumb field.
    type=”thumb” does the trick.
