Hello everyone, I really hope you can help me.
I’m trying to acces the wordpress logion screen in:

    mydomain.org/wp-admin

And the login page doesn’t appear, instead it all goes blank. The following url appears:

    https://mydomain.org/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fmydoamin.org%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

    I’ve tried the following:

1- Renaming plugin and theme folder in FTP.
2- Reuploading the wp-admin from a fresh download.
3- Finding spaces in the functions.php file (there weren’t any).
    4- Checking the wp-config.php file.

What else can I do? Please help me if you can.
Thank you very much for reading! ??

  • Try checking your site’s error logs for messages. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

Thank you for replying esmi, i just solved the problem, and to think I’ve been a week searching for this… xD ??
In case it helps anyone, I just resolved the problem. WordPress has been having a massive amount of intended hacks, this makes your hosting or wordpress trigger a security system. What happened is that all the permissions to the wp-login.php were taken away.
I went in my FTP using Filezilla and right click on the “wp-login.php” file and go to permissions. The first line is Owner permissions, click on the two first options, read and write, and only the first box of the other two.
Doing this made my login screen go back on and I was able to go in to my dashboard.
    Hope it helped.

Where did you find your “wp-login.php” file? I have FileZilla and I do not see this file. I looked in the main WP 3.6.1 files and elsewhere. I don’t see it? Could it have another name?

Nothing is working and I’m about ready to pull my hair out since these sites must supplement my disability income, which is nill.

I had absolutely no problems before.

Any other suggestions or clarifications? I greatly appreciate your help. I can find my way in and around, but I am by no means anything other than a layperson when it comes to more complex coding – at least not yet!

    Thanks again.

@einstein3 – that file IS in the wordpress folder – download a copy of it to your local computer from here:

These forums really work better if you stick to your own thread – much less confusing for volunteers helping out here – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/help-tried-to-login-and-screen-blank-after-plug-in-upload?replies=11

Sorry, I had these 2 screens open and replied to the wrong one. Please bear with me as I’m really trying to resolve this and learn so I can avoid this from happening in the future. Thanks so much for your assistance – much apreciated.
