can't access my admin with new name

    I have just renamed my WordPress site. Through GoGaddy I have changed the name of the site and redirected the old name to the new one. Everything looks great!

    BUT I can’t get behind the scenes. When I try to login with the old username and password it just does nothing. How can I change the name or at least get into my admin panels?

    I have a new domain name. So I transferred my site and the web hosting to the new name but now I can’t access the admin as the password and username are tied to the old name.

    This sounds exactly the problem I am having. I updated my URL within my wordpress site under the general settings tab to the new URL and now I cannot login.

    Thanks so much for your reply esmi (love the name by the way, reminds me of Twilight! :))
    I managed to sort it though, apparently it was an issue with my host not WP. They fixed it through the dashboard for me.
