• Hi,

    Yesterday in order to prevent brute force attack I blocked few IP addresses using Sucuri plugin but even after that I was able to access the site with no problem at all.

    I have asked my family members and friends to access it but for them also after logging in the right id and password it says ” Access to deepakshukla.com was denied

    You don’t have authorization to view this page.
    HTTP ERROR 403″

    Please help I don’t understand how to fix it

  • Hi,

    You can connect to your website via FTP/sFTP and disable the plugin by renaming its directory (wp-content/plugins/sucuri). You may also need to remove your IP address from the .htaccess file.

    After that you should be able to login to the dashboard, reactivate the plugin and whitelist your local IP address.

    @rosehosting thanks I use FIlezilla and that’s another problem that whenever I download the files from 1&1 server (hoting server SFTP) not all files get downloaded and I am not able to see the sucuri as the plugin under content>plugin
