    Hi,
I’m using Oceanic Premium theme and everything has worked like charm until now.

I am able to log in to wp-admin and access admin panel as usual. All settings are accessible and working. However, when I try to view the site as admin, all I see is the public view. There is no admin bar on the top of the site and the “edit”-links are all gone.

Also I can’t preview anything on the site. I get an error message saying “You do not have permission to preview drafts.”

Also I am able to access the customization panel as admin, but live preview is not showing up. Instead I get an error code saying “Your session has expired. Please log in to continue where you left off.” (Image: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/60867018/1.png)

I have tried to shut off all plugins, update WordPress manually via admin panel, switch to default theme and a couple of other tricks, none of them successful.

My client’s site is at https://www.eilasylvia.fi and WordPress is installed at /wordpress.

I would really appreciate your help.

  • Hi Shakk,

This was happened to me also. The problem was a security plugin. I have to delete that and also I have to reset all the files it made changes to like .htacccess file.

Try removing any plugin which made redirects. Simply removing files from plugin folder or through WordPress not actually remove it. You have to remove its data from database and the files it made edit to. Best way is to read a nice article online on how to uninstall X plugin properly.

Try clearing your cache or use different browser & see if the problem is there.

Hopefully, this will help you out. If any query let me know.

    Cheers,

Ok so I finally fixed this. The problem was at Admin > Settings > General, where I had to check that both the WordPress and site addresses have “www” in front of them.

    So simple. Phew.

@shakk your respond was so a big help. I’ve had the problem for over a month and my host providers and I were at a lot to fix it. Just decided to check here after 12 hours of option searching and tickets since yesterday. Thanks a lot…can’t stop smiling.
