• Hello,

    Something odd happened.
I created a new site just to host a test I’m supposed to develop with your plugin.
I created a question pot and a Quiz, then I went on settings to set the email address and the name the mail should come from.
When I updated the Quiz Question button on the Dashboard menu disappeared.
Also, when the page refreshed I was told I have not the permissions to see that content, but I am actually the only user on the site and, also, Administrator for that site.

Do you have any idea on how can I get my permissions back?

    Thanks

Hi – very strange.I can’t think what could have caused that issue.

I assume you’ve tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin?
Is the admin menu link also missing?

    Hi Alex,

    thanks for your attention.
Yes, I deactivated, reactivated, uninstalled, re-installed and nothing changed.
Also, the admin menu link is missing.

I saw a few months ago someone had a similar issue by changing the colors for feedbacks…and unfortunately, I could not find any possible solution in that topic.

I host the site on altervista, I don’t know if this may help you in guessing what happened.

I think it might be some kind of database corruption, but actually, I had the same issue on 2 different websites (both hosted on altervista).

I wish you can figure out what that could be…I’m not that good in trying to hack the code ??

OK we have this database delete / reset plugin that may work.
However it will delete all your questions and pots and basically set you up from the beginning.

Let me know if it works for you!

    Hi Alex,

    Unfortunately it does not work.
Admin menu link is still missing.

I have no idea how to solve it…and I’m quite in a rush because I should prepare the quiz in a short time as I have around 40 people who should take it next week…

What was the email address you used? If I can reproduce the fault this end I can try to find a fix.

I used the “fake” email address that comes with altervista hosting:

    [ redacted ]

And “Farmina Test Informatori” as Name to display.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi again,

Many apologies its not an easy fix. The only thing I can suggest at the moment is to try a different version of the plugin, which you can get from the SVN repository.

You mentioned you had been asked to use this plugin for a specific reason – but (dare i suggest) another plugin may do a similar job? e.g. have you looked at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/h5p/
That also allows you to add single questions onto a page.

    Hi Alex,

    thanks for your assistance.
I will try a different version of the plugin.
I actually wanted to use your plugin as I checked many others and yours is the only one I found that has an excellent admin control of results, which is crucial for our feedbacks.

I wish it works with an older version!

    thanks again for the support

The same thing happened to me. I deleted and reinstalled, and did not resolve the plugin. I removed all the tables created by the plugin in the database and did not solve it. I had to break through all the wordpress tables and rejoin it to re-use the plugin.

    Update:
I’ve not been able to restore the plugin and managed in another way (new free website and clean installation of the plugin).

    Thanks for the assistance anyway

    Hi All,

Sounds like an annoying bug I need to solve ASAP.
I’m working in a new version that doesnt use custom tables to solve data, instead uses custom post meta so it should be fixed I the next major release.

Once again, apologies for any inconvenience and if Janielton can provide exact steps for the fix that would be really useful.

    Best wishes,

    Alex

I have the same problem. It’s happened after modify setting field.
