Can't access Posts (All Posts) area from my Dashboard

  • I can’t access Posts (All Posts) area from my Dashboard from this morning.

    I can edit all published posts and pages from the frontend of the page, but cannot get the list of All posts from my Dashboard. I get an 500 error (Internal Server Error).

    Connected to this I can’t reach my Drafts and they are also not shown on the first page of the Dashboard where they are usually located. There’s nothing there now.

    I tried deactivating all plugins, updating the theme, changing the theme.

    I contacted my hosting provider and they said they don’t see any problems at the server side since the database and all other services are working properly.

    What else can I do?

  • Start with the standard troubleshooting steps:

    Clear any browser, site or server caches

    Deactivate all your plugins, switch to the default WP theme

    Reset the plugins folder by using FTP to change the name on the folder to pluginsHOLD

    Clear any browser, site or server caches

    If that works, reverse steps one by one to see what the cause of the problem is.

    If not, post back with a link to your site.

    Thank you. I already did all that. Step by step… No change.

    No it isn’t. I tried all that, tested is there is some change (there wasn’t) and then returned all plugins and theme.

    There are thousands of visitors per day on this site, I can’t just leave Twenty Twelve with no plugins for some hours…

    Yeah, that’s a hard thing about trying to fix a live site. But it really should not take hours to do that. But since you are getting an error, ask your hosts to check the error logs for your site to see what Internal Server Error is occurring.
