• This is getting quite annoying…
I have switched from LifeType to WordPress and installing went smoothly and everything was cool until i can’t get to the admin section anymore. WordPress says something about rights: “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

I have made several clean installations and this severe problem keeps appearing. This pisses me off…

  • What are the permissions on your admin directory?

It’s not about permissions, because it’s working for some time and then suddenly won’t let me in.

Anyway, do you have more than one user account created? Perhaps an admin and another level?

I have only admin account. And weird thing is that WordPress is working for a while when installed, but then starts to loose my rights.

I have the same issue. I hadn’t posted to the blog in about a week while customizing other aspects of my site. Then yesterday tried to start writing a new post and received “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

Has anyone experienced this before I spend potentially hours trying to figure it out?

“I’ve solved the problem. Downloaded WP again and extracted only wp-login.php to start with and uploaded it to the remote server. It helped. I even didn’t have to give my username and password. It brought me straight to the admin-section. I think something was wrong with the earlier downloaden wp-login. I’ve uploaded that more times, without result. This fresh one worked!”
