    Hi,

I use a WordPress Multisite and after setting up a new blog (site id 19) I got a wp piwik error at the dashboard of this new site: You can’t access this resource as it requires an ‘view’ access for the website id = 1

At my piwik installation no new site is being added. How can I solve this error? Can I change the piwik tracking id at wp piwik?

    Best,

    Ben

  • Same here. An error message showing up in all stats content boxes on wp-admin/index.php?page=wp-piwik_stats:

“You can’t access this resource as it requires an ‘view’ access for the website id = 1.”

I found the issue on my side. Maybe it’s the same for you:
I had to get a new “&token_auth=” from the Piwik installation (API page) and drop this into the wordpress backend > Settings > WP-Piwik > Piwik settings.

Try this and see what happens. Also: don’t forget to update the plugin to the latest version.

Thanks, an old auth token was set, but on all other sites everything worked normal despite of the old token. But the problem is not solved: I′ve got the same piwik id 1 set on this new site and no new website at piwik.

I′ve got the latest version: 0.9.9.12

Is it possible to set a wp piwik id?

New error: An unexpected website was found, check idSite in the request.

Did you try to reset WP-Piwik? (See support tab.) If WP-Piwik was resetted, it will request the ID again using the Piwik API.

Yes this worked, but I had to create new piwik ids for a few sites and don′t know how to merge both datasets.

If the URLs did not change, Piwik should identify the sites and assign the old IDs… I wonder why new sites were generated.

Maybe this script will help? (If you try it, please report about the results… Unfortunately the script was developed for Piwik 1.x, so I have no idea if it works.)

The Piwik team will also develop such a functionality, but it is not finished yet:
