Can't access w/admin after failed upgrade

  • Hey everyone,

    I host WordPress on my own domain, lorenzofb.com. The other day I tried to upgrade it via the Admin panel but something went wrong as the process was interrupted.

    After that, my site still works, but I can’t access lorenzofb.com/wp-admin, Chrome gives me the following error:

    “This webpage has a redirect loop”

    I tried disabling my plugins (renaming the folder via FTP), as well as changing themes, but nothing happens.

    What can I do to solve this?

  • You could try replacing the wp-admin folder with the same folder from a fresh download of WordPress. If that doesn’t work, you could try replacing all of the core WordPress files with those from a fresh WordPress install (exlcuding wp-content, .htaccess, wp-config.php, and favicon.ico). If you haven’t already made a backup, be sure to back up everything including your database before you begin.
