Can’t access website with www. + theme error

    Hi,

    I have recently transferred a WordPress website to my hosting server. The website is working fine like insanevisions.com but not with www -> https://www.insanevisions.com

    How can i resolve this?

    My DNS is like following:

    A *.insanevisions.com
    A .insanevisions.com

    What do I have to do to fix this?

    I use Hottopix theme. If I want to reach the WP admin page, it doesnt succeed (blank page). but when I disable the theme (modify folder name to hottopixX) via FTP then I can be back on!

    Hello,

    You should check about the www problem with your hosting company.
    But meanwhile maybe youcan just make a redirection from the https://WWW.url to url

    As to reaching your admin, did you make some changes in your theme (or rather child theme) lately ?

    Its something with the theme!!

    I changed the theme to something else and I tried https://www.insanevisions.com/…… post

    it works when I choose that theme again it doesnt work.. What could it be?

    Hey @efsane66, as you may know WordPress is a domain dependent application which some times works only with the domain which it has been configured with.

    If you want to make your site work via www I would recommend that you check the following codex page – https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Moving_WordPress.

    Always remember to create a backup of your database before making any changes so that if something goes wrong, you can always revert to a functioning stage.
