Can't access wp-admin

  • Hi,
    I am using xampp and chrome. I have been using localhost for sometime now.
    I can access my localhost/sitename but I can’t access localhost/sitename/wp-admin. When I go on the link it gives me the following error :

    Not Found

    The requested URL /sitename/not_found was not found on this server.

    Apache/2.4.9 (Win64) PHP/5.5.12 Server at localhost Port 80

    I can’t understand the answer given in the first link and the second link does not help solve the problem . Help please !

    Were you able to access your admin area anytime before or is it the first time you tried to access it?

    My site is almost complete.. I have opened wp admin several times. But one day this problem arrived out of no where.

    Hi Jzxd try to locate the wp-admin file manually..it is in… xampp/htdocs/your_wordpress_install_folder/wp-admin… and then inside the wp-admin folder there should be a file named index.php… and if its not there then something might have happen to your files in that directory …hope somebody can give you a real solution other than re-installing your wordpress…:)

    Well in that case you might have written a wrong code,revert back your recent changes.
    Hope it will work!!
