what happens if you deactivate plugins?

How can I deactivate them, when I can’t get to the control panel?

use your ftp client and delete them. theres a reminder of that functionality at the bottom of the plugins page, for next time.

your error is being caused by a widget and its a searchable problem.

I deleted all the plugins via FTP.

Nothing has changed regarding this problem / error.

Okay, maybe I AM stupid… Most of those posts look like unintelligible gibberish to me.

One suggestion listed to comment out two lines of database info from wp-config.php, which seems to have worked.

Now my question is: Don’t I need that? And therefore, can I just leave it as is, or am I supposed to be fixing other things and putting it back in?
