Can't access wp-admin on hosted site after moving from localhost…

    I originally created a WordPress Multisite on my localhost with two subdirectories.

    I transferred all of the files via FTD to my server, exported my three databases and replaced all of the instances of localhost with the appropriate location, then imported the databases into my server and reconfigured the config files.

    I’m able to see the homepage of my main site, but when trying to navigate to any other part of the site, I get internal service errors.

    When trying to access domain.com/wp-admin, I get the login screen but the username and password of my admin account does not grant me access. I’ve tried changing it inside the database, but that doesn’t fix anything.

    When I go to my subdirectory sites, everything works, including my admin dashboard.

    Any idea on what I could have done wrong? Thanks in advance!!!

    Why 3 databases? If you really just used multisite, you have ONE database with 3 sites in it.

    Maybe that’s where I went wrong. Each of the sites were installed in the subdirectory as if they were separate sites and then configured with each database. Everything worked fine locally, so I’m not sure what I messed up here.

    How would I go about combining them?

    Well, I tried disabling multisite and now I can access my admin dashboard. However, the pages are still resulting in internal server errors. Looking into that issue now that I can actually see what’s going on.

    Each of the sites were installed in the subdirectory as if they were separate sites and then configured with each database.

    then that’s not multisite. thats multiple installs.

    You needed to follow these steps:

    codex.www.ads-software.com/Create_A_Network

    Do that on the live site, then go tot Network Admin -> Sties -> Add new, click the button, then use the Import tool on the sub sites to get your data (that you Exported locally from the wp admin area).

    I’m trying to set up my local host(my own computer), which now is used for one site with WordPress 3.2.1, to work with multiple sites – are the instructions on the “create a network” page what I need to follow?

    I’d like to admin 2 small sites from one wordpress install, then upload/publish content to each one separately.
