Can’t access wp login page

  • Every time i try access the login page for my wp site it redirects me to my sites main page and gives me no option to sign in. I have tried using a different browser and clearing cached data but I still can’t gain access. What might be causing this?

    Some plugin may be interfering with the log in process and because of that you can not visit the log in page.

    https://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin
    https://www.yoursite.com/wp-login.php

    If the above links do not work for you, then could you please go to your FTP and rename the plugins folder in wp-content to plugins_old and try to log in then.

    If you can successfully log in, then the issue was caused by a plugin.

    If not, then on the root folder of your website you should also see a .htaccess file. There might be a redirection causing this as well.

    Depending on your service provider, if you find getting in via FTP difficult you may be able to ask your host to rename the folder.
