can’t activate Firewall on Windows hosting

    Hi Folks,

    We’re using Windows Hosting (IIS).

    We’ve created php.ini and user.ini, but the Firewall will not activate.

    Are there any special measures to activate the Wordfence Firewall on Windows IIS hosting?

    The plugin isn’t officially supported on Windows servers as mentioned in the plugin’s requirements page.

    In general, could you please confirm that “Windows (IIS)” was selected during the firewall configuration process? you might also double check with your hosting provider that they support “.user.ini” files with “auto_prepend_file” option.

    Also, may I know the value you have for “auto_prepend_file” in (Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics => Click to view your system’s configuration in a new window
    )?
