Can’t Activate Jet Pack

Hi @foreverlearning, it sounds like it didn’t get fully installed for whatever reason. If you’ll delete the Jetpack plugin and install it fresh, that will bring in any missing files. Cheers!

Didn’t work.
I deleted the existing install. Went back to reinstall but get an update failed error just trying to install – not activate.

Can you send the full text of the error?

I am having a similar problem. I updated Jetpack, and it put my site in Maintenance mode for about a half hour. When I was able to log back in, I received an error that the plug-in was missing a file and had been deleted. I tried to re-install Jetpack, but I get an “Updated Failed!” error with no other information. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Could you both try manually reinstalling Jetpack? Download the Jetpack plugin here:

Then, log in to your site via FTP, and delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder. You should then be able to reinstall the plugin manually by following the instructions here:

I strongly recommend that you make a complete backup of your website beforehand, just in case.
