I’m not sure if you’re aware, but this is a rating / review thread.

If you’d like to ask a question, you can post your question here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wpsso/

The information you provided is a but unclear though, so when you post your question, maybe add how you’re trying to activate it, and how you’re trying to delete it. The WordPress plugins system is usually pretty robust – installing, activating, deleting plugins is pretty easy, so it sounds like there may be a larger issue here. ??

Once you activate the plugin, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. I’m not sure rating it before actually trying it is the correct thing to do… Moderators, what do you think?

    Thanks,

No, I was rating it, not asking a question. It would not activate. Then, I couldn’t delete. It was a fail.

Thanks for your feedback, but installing / activating / deleting plugins is actually not a function of WPSSO. :-/

I’d really suggest you try the plugin before rating it. And as suggested, if you need assistance, you can post in the support forum – it’s as easy as posting here, except that support forums are geared towards helping you. ??

Since you registered on www.ads-software.com on March 23rd, when you posted this review, and you only ever posted once (this review), and your account has no other activity, I assume you’re fairly new to WordPress – you may want to ask yourself if you’re installing plugins correctly (if you’re using FTP for example, this often leads to problems), or if your site has an installation issue. A copy-paste of the error you saw would certainly help us point you in the right direction. ??

BTW, the idea here is to help you – once you can activate a plugin, you can use it and update your rating / review based on actual experience with it. ??

Look, I’ve been using WordPress for years. This plugin will not activate. I don’t want to spend any more time on this and go through the community to try to figure out why it won’t activate. I get a webpage not found.

A “webpage not found” is usually a permission issue or missing files. It’s often related to using FTP to install plugins, but can happen when WP.org has an issue and sends incomplete / corrupted ZIPs (rare, but it happens). In either case, that kinda of error should be reported to your hosting provider so they can fix the file permissions and/or the missing files, etc. If you can copy-paste the exact error message, that should help your provider track down the issue fairly quickly.

Hopefully you get this sorted, and if you get a chance to try the plugin, please come back and update the review – I’m sure you’ll enjoy the plugin – there’s no other like it. ??
