I am using itheme2 and want to add some adsense ads in the right sidebar – simple.

But when I drag over a text widget to the sidebar and enter data – either adsense code or just plain text – it merges the center and right sidebar together. I tried using ad inject – same thing.

I also have an adsense search box in the lower sidebar (sidebar 2). Now if I keep it there, it comes out fine, but if I move it to sidebar one, I get the same merging effect.

I did, originally, put in a div code (in the widget) to center the text, and it worked fine for awhile, but then did not display the ads – only blank color, so I removed the widgets and started over.

    The site is xi4.com

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Where did you download this theme from?

It was done by someone else – not sure.

Hi there – I took at look at your theme’s style.css file, and it shows that this is the premium version of iTheme 2 from Themify. I’d direct this question to the theme shop directly since they’re best placed to help:

Thank you Kathryn, I will do that.

I have another wp site with another theme, and still can’t figure out how to center the widget ads in the sidebar. I am a newbie with wp so can not presume to make suggestions, but reading through all of the other help requests with this same issue, seems wp could come up with something easier rather than hunting down style sheets (I can’t seem to figure this out myself) and doing editing there. Just saying.

    Thanks again.

If you need CSS/formatting help that’s not theme-specific, I suggest you post in the general themes forum. If you provide links to both sites there, folks can take a look directly and will be more easily able to help you:

    Good luck!

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! And I did it myself. Solution is as follows:

I was using the ad inject plug to insert adsense. I set it to put in an ad after a few paragraphs, and then another down the line. BUT, I have multiple posts on the same main page (I am not the writer and prefer only one post per page). SO, ad inject was inserting 2 ads on every post ALL THE WAY DOWN THE WHOLE PAGE.

So, it lost it’s mind and was displaying blank spots after 10 ads (maximum setting for it – but adsense only allows 3). So, good luck on trying to display a couple ads on the right sidebar – it really lost it’s mind at that point.

I took out the ads in the post(s), used ad injection in the right sidebar using it’s spacing features, and, PRESTO – centered ads that also didn’t whack the page out merging the main and body!
