Can’t add button back to Front Page of WP Theme

    So I’m relatively new to WordPress, yet I am a web developer as such I get completely lost when trying to navigate WP items and themes. It’s a completely new territory.

    So when I first setup my ecomm site, it had a button on the front page(?) of the shopisle theme I am using. it was a simple ‘read more’ button that linked to the blog page. Well, I upgraded to PRO for more functionality and a while later I noticed the button is gone. I tried adding code to the Front Page (below), but that seems to not affect the front page at all.

    I tried to find shopisle documentation on how to do such, I’ve contacted support and they want access to the site through their support plugin to do whatever needs to be done. I really want to be able to do it myself, but have no idea how.
