Can’t add Family Group

I am unable to add a family group even though I am on the premium free trial. An error message pops up saying “You are not allowed to create more than one family tree on the free version.” Things I have tried:

– Deactivated and Reactivated plugin
– Cleared my cache
– Saved permalinks
– Clicked sync license again
– Changed license

Not sure what to do at this point. What’s the point of offering a trial of the premium version if I can’t even try out the premium version? Please help.
