Can’t add images or open Media Library

  • I started a new blog post two days ago, using the Classic Editor, and have not been able to open the Media Library to add images, or drag and drop images into this post.

    When I click the “Add Media” nothing happens. When I try to drag and drop images from a folder on my computer, to a spot on my post, nothing happens.

    I’ve updated all my plugins. I’ve had my blog for about 5 years now and have never had this issue before.

    I tried switching to block editor, but it doesn’t allow me to add images in the middle of my text, only to the end of the post.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    I used Health Check to revert to Twenty Twenty and disabled all plugins, but the problem did not go away.
