Can't add images to Slideshow

  • We can’t seem to add images to Slideshow anymore. We upgraded to 3.8 a few weeks ago, but just noticed this.

    the box to select pictures comes up, but then after hitting submit, the box goes away, but nothing gets added. We are selecting from Media Library.

    EDIT: After further testing, it works on one site in a WPMU environment, but not another. I can upload and/or add files from Media Library on one, but not the other.

  • Hello farmeunit, what is the difference between the website that works and the website that doesn’t work?

    I have this same problem.

    Updated to 3.8 the other day, went to create a new slideshow yesterday, clicked ‘insert image slide’, goes to media library, selected my image, clicked select and then nothing!

    It just takes me back to the editing page for the slide.

    I can however insert text or video slides – just not images.

    I have same problem.
    Text and video worked for me, but image didn’t work. When I click “Insert Image Slide”, the box comes up, but My Media Library looks empty (actually I have uploaded some image). And when I try to upload a new one from “Insert Image Slide”, it’s error!

    This is the error warning :
    “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

    Anyone please help me, i want to use this plugin…

    Hi @alfonsusrh are you able to upload media files through the normal process in WordPress?

    It seems i cannot upload media file through normal process, it stack on “crunching…..”
    Doesn’t finish for upload, but when i check my Library, the image has been added.
    How to fix it?

    @alfonsusrh do you know when this started to occur? Did you do any recent plugin updates or added a new plugin? Did you change the theme or upgraded the theme?

    Yes, I built a customize theme for my website. But when I try change theme to default wordpress theme, I can Upload it normally!!
    So the problem is on my theme.
    Is there any file that I must create to make media library works normally on my theme?

    Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I have tried changing themes and still no luck getting an image to update to the slideshow. Although by now, we’re up to WP version 4.0. I cannot figure out where the problem is with this, except possibly the version of WP. I can upload media files just fine to the media library.
