Can't add links to pages, button clicks but nothing happens

    I was trying to add link to adobe acrobat download button and I can’t add the link in either html or visual.

    The website behaves correctly its just editing links that I notice being off.

    I think that you link a graphic or image when you import it into the post or page. When you import the media one of the settings is, Link URL.

    The html button or visual button are for text but if you want the link to open in a new window you can set that with the link button after doing the above.

    There may be a TinyMCE plugin that will make it easier.
