Can't Add Media Fiels after 4.0 Upgrade

    I am not able to add any media files since updating to wp 4.0. Any suggestions.

    Here is the error message I get when I try to upload a file: “Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/09. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

    sounds like a permissions issue with the folders of wordpress. read through this article for more info wp permissions

    Thanks for the access to the reading material, it was helpful. Unfortunately My hosting provider does not give direct access to SuEXEC configurations, but I was able to fix the problem by checking the “web writable” option under the “privacy settings” for the content folder using website my file manager.

    Problem solved.
