• I can add 1 staff member associated with a team. As soon as I add a second, and then associate them with a different team, the entire website times out.
And I can’t just put the second staff in the trash. I have to empty the trash as well before the system becomes responsive again.
I’ve already tried using Rookie and I’ve already tried deactivating all other plugins. The result is the same.

    Hi @gator8

Thanks for your reply, and since you are known around here I trust your troubleshooting skills (we both know how many issues can be solved just by disabling plugins / theme, right? ;D)

As for your issue, that’s really weird!

I have just tried here and it works just fine I can add 2 staff members for the same team:

My first guess is that there is some old wrong data that is causing this issue. Do you get this with all your teams?

What happens when you set them all as drafts and leave just one? Also, one more thing to test is setting all events and players as drafts. How many of them do you have? Just to confirm if that is a DB issue (in case it’s a lot of data it may be)

Ah, you may want to set up a test server for this as doing that in your live site may be risky.

    Kind Regards,

It’s for a startup league. The site is live, but there is no activity yet on it. I have no players or events yet – just teams. So, there is no old data present.

I’ve tried adding the second manager to a different team and to the same team. No difference.

I tried it on my live league that has players and events and I don’t have a problem there. So, it probably has something to do with no players and no events in the system.

I think I’ve narrowed down the issue.
In frustration, I deleted SportsPress and reinstalled it. There were a number of settings that were reset, but everything worked. I could have more than 1 staff; more than 1 player.
After this, I started enabling options one at a time.
So, as it turns out, the culprit is the Tiebreaker option. As soon as I set it to Head to Head, I get the timeout happening.
I’m fairly certain that once I have events and results entered AND I turn that option back on, this will not be a problem.
