    I am unable to connect my account. I tried using the button to connect to it, and then manually with an access token, and it says it can’t connect. The error says “There was an error connecting your account.” I am on the latest version of the plugin. I saw the latest change was to fix this issue but I’m still having it.

    Hey BradLinder,

    We can definitely take a look! I have two ideas:

    1) Try using this page to manually connect an account. https://smashballoon.com/instagram-feed/token/

    2) Since this issue is occurring in the backend of your site, we would need to log-in as an admin user to test this out ourselves. You can contact us on our support page.

    I am getting the same error, also it doesn’t work adding manually, just says that the token is invalid.

    How can I fix it?

    As I said, entering it manually does not work either.

    Would both of you be willing to contact us using the link? We would have to take a look at what happens when we click the button and try to connect our own accounts. It’s possible that your host blocks access to Instagram’s API. We can tell for sure if we can try it ourselves.

    I have a similar situation. I just sent in a support request. What I noticed though, when I try to connect manually, I enter the Access Token, but the plugin field cuts off after about half the Token. It doesn’t accept the full character length of the token, therefore it is saying invalid and can’t connect.

    Support got back to me. The token i was using was a “business” token and not the “personal” option. (Client sent it to me and didn’t tell me). The personal token was then obtained (which is way shorter in length) and worked just fine. I knew it had to be something simple and hopefully that will help others that experience similar issues.
