can’t add new pages

    I am running “Make” theme with wr-page builder on 2 sites on different hosts. One site is working fine but on the second site I can no longer add new pages.

    Thinking the problem related to a wp=optimise data base cleans I did the other day i have wound the site back to a time prior but the problem persists so i guess I was barking up the wrong tree. Other than change the time on both sites, due to the clocks changing and some plugin updates I dont think any thing else has changed recently.

    Now when I click on the new page buttons I get the following message

    The requested URL /wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=page was not found on this server.
    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    New posts works and I can edit pages I just cant find a way to add new pages.

    I have tried disabling plug ins, changing the theme, changing the permalink settings but I am not getting anywhere

    any help for a relative novice is appreciated

    I have deleted no end of plugins and put the htaccess code back to base settings, the new page link is:

    https://concrew-training.co.uk/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=page

    I also seem to have a similar problem with the updraftplus plugin. I have uninstalled and re-installed but am getting a similar message about the URL not being found on the server

    However, I find:
    – Your website opens fine.

    – All menu items (about us, etc.) open fine.

    yes the web site looks to be working from a front of house perspective BUT I cant add any new pages, when I try to add a new page by clicking on the new page buttons from the dashboard or try to make changes to the updraft plugin I get a white page with the message

    it is only these 2 items that I have problems with.

    I am just looking in my wp-admin folder and I cant see a page-new.php file could this be the problem

    After trying all I could think of at this end I raised a ticket with the server host Vidahost last night and they looked into it at their end, they couldn’t find anything wrong but suggested I clear the Browser cache and reboot the modem/router.

    Clearing the browser cache worked and I can load new pages now

    I can only think that winding back to an earlier version sorted the problem but my browser cache was stopping me seeing the changes
