Can't add new plugins

  • Everytime I try to search, or look at ‘popular’ or ‘newest’ in the ‘add new’ section under the Plugins tab, I get the following error message:

    An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    Try again

    Any suggestions welcome please. I need to install various plugins and can’t do it at the moment.

    One of the issues that people miss is their Outgoing Connections.
    This feature allows you to specify certain IPs or IP ranges to which you will be able to open outgoing connections.

    You have to allow Outgoing Connections from your cpanel.

    A mi pasaba lo mismo en mi web postres faciles y tube que reinstalar wordpress a la última versión.

    Creo que algo salió mal en la anterior instalación y me denegaba la subida he instalación de plugins.

    Basically, she is saying that she had the same issue. The installation did not allow her to install plug-ins, so she did a new installation to the latest version of wordpress and that worked.

    I had a exactly same situation, in my case was my linux server problem.
    if you are running wordpress on your virtual machine, try ping test on your server side.
