Can’t add new portfolio item (like before)

I can’t add new items anymore, like i used to do (see: https://visualportfolio.co/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/image-9.png) with the PLUS button under the items.

And when i click ‘edit gallery’ (how it’s called now). i only see the current ones. New upload is not visible in this list..

What to do?
