Can’t Add or Edit Posts With HTML

  • So I’ve been tried editing a post on my website and everytime I would click “publish” it would just take me to my homepage, where no changes were made. I then just tried deleting it and re-posting it. I did not succeed in this. I’ve realized that I can post things that don’t have ANY html in them, like I successfully posted a “testing 123” post but when I tried bolding it or using any html, it would not work. I am using wordpress 2.7 and my website is a music blog so html is absolutely needed, (https://wedontbuyyourmerch.com)

    How are you trying to add HTML? Are you using the visual editor or the raw editor? I just did a fresh install of my own and can not duplicate the issue on my end. I would suggest checking your access logs and error logs for your website to see if there is any information there as to what is causing the redirect. Otherwise, it’s kind of hard to troubleshoot it with the information provided and the inability to test it directly.

    I’m pretty much a n00b with websites and can do only the basics!
