    Hello,

Problem appear right after update. Problem gone if reverted back to 5.2.3.

Problem is on a custom page. Please have a look at the web page, click Register, and you can see that we can’t add the quantity.

    No errors in the Console.

Can you help with the steps on how to troubleshoot this?

    Thank you.

I see there is an issue with jquery in the code. I have the same issue and it links to the: wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/resources/js/tickets-block.min.js Error: jquery, wp-util-not-in-footer (missing), tribe-common, wp-i18n

I’m using Event Tickets Plus 5.3.3 and Event Tickets 5.2.4 and can confirm that the problem exists when using the [tribe_tickets] shortcode.

    Symptoms:
    – you can’t increase or decrease the quantity by clicking on ‘-‘ and ‘+’
    – using the input field to manually insert a quantity will not help either
    – button#tribe-tickets__tickets-buy can’t be clicked

Downgrading to 5.2.3 fixes the problem.

Okay, I see this notice in the Troubleshooting page:

    EVENT TICKETS
Existing theme overrides that may need revision:
    blocks/tickets.php (based on 4.11.0 version)

I deleted that file so it don’t override the default file in the plugin folder.

    Notice is gone.

The ticket form layout changed (no more Register button, no more modal), but still, nothing happens – also in console – when I click the (+) add quantity button.

Any clues on where should I look next?

    Thank you.

    To clarify, the page:

    https://undostaging.wpengine.com/event/collaboration-and-as-negotiation-documentary-ethics/

… now contains the default ticket template (no more “Register” button as mentioned in my first Post), but the (+) add ticket button is not working.

“Enable New RSVP Experience” & “Enable Updated Tickets Experience” in Settings are checked.

Searched for ‘ticket’ in functions.php and I can’t find anything relevant (Theme wasn’t created by me).

The site has Events Tickets Plus and Events Calendar Pro, should I look into it?

    Thank you.

@yofazza for the time being I’d recommend you to downgrade to the previous version of the plugin, which will fix the problem immediately.

You can find earlier versions on the “advanced” view of the plugin page at the very bottom: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/event-tickets/advanced/

The previous version can be found here:
    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/event-tickets.5.2.3.zip

You can simply downgrade by visiting /wp-admin/plugin-install.php and choosing “upload plugin” and uploading the zip file.

    Hello @yofazza @satestudio @mroesele,

Thanks for reporting this issue and each one of you adding information.

I’d kindly ask you if you can confirm that this problem is happening only when using the [tribe_tickets] shortcode?

Our engineers are working on a quick fix for this.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Best,
    Juan.

@juanfra we don’t use the short code as I am aware.

Hi @mroesele, thank you for the advice. I actually already done that on the production site but I’m just curious with the latest update, why it doesn’t work, what different setup the site has that could make a pretty obvious thing to not work and I want to fix it quick if possible. ??

    @juanfra, I don’t think we’re using the shortcode.

From my understanding, the ticket form in that page is loaded from:

    Single Event Template
    [your-theme]/tribe-events/single-event.php

    …which loads:

    Block: Tickets
    [your-theme]/tribe/tickets/blocks/tickets.php

I tried to delete those two files from the theme folder (so it’ll use the ones in the plugin folder, right?). Then the layout is ruined, but still unable to add quantity – no errors in console.

    Any pointer?

    Hi @yofazza,

Thank you for your response. I see, can you please confirm that if you go to Events > Settings > Display you have the Enable Updated Tickets Experience enabled?

If not, can you please enable it and try again?

    Best,
    Juan.

    Hi @juanfra,

“Enable New RSVP Experience” & “Enable Updated Tickets Experience” tested checked and unchecked, same result.

Currently both of them are checked.

Thanks everyone for reporting this and providing good information about the problem.

We have been able to found the cause of the problem is a conflict with the Classic Editor plugin. Specifically when having the following settings (wp-admin > Settings > Writing):

    • “Default editor for all users” set to “Classic Editor”
    • “Allow users to switch editors” set to “No“

A workaround to avoid this problem is either downgrading to Event Tickets 5.2.3 or changing the “Allow users to switch editors” to “Yes”.

We’re currently working on a fix to be released today ASAP.
