Can’t add site icon

I’ve been trying both a .jpeg and a .png file…

Hi @sallyross1 – can you tell us more about what theme you are using? Themes can determine where the Site Icon settings can be.

Please refer to the Example Lesson area here: https://learn.www.ads-software.com/lesson-plan/how-to-add-and-remove-logo-and-site-icon-in-site-editor if you are using a block based theme.

I am using Astra. It’s not a theme issue, as I uploaded an icon before no problem on this site. I have cleared my cache and tried different images, it just won’t work.

I have to go directly to “Crop Image”, and then every time it freezes and gives me an error message with a red line on the side of it: “There has been an error cropping your image.” I am wondering if there is some kind of bug in my site, and if someone can help me figure this out?

It seems the problem was actually with the logo files I sent! Problem resolved.

However, I’m wondering why the site icon doesn’t appear in the URL window for my site on browsers? I only see a lock icon:
