  • Hi there,

Does Meta Slider work if you switch to another theme? Since the issue isn’t resolved by deactivating other plugins I’m thinking it must be a conflict with the theme, perhaps it uses a customised version of the media library?

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Matcha, thanks for replying!

It’s not working with other themes.
I forgot to say that MetaSlider used to work perfect in this theme.

Someone asked me to make this site a few years ago. Everything worked fine and the client swears he didn’t touch anything. He didn’t make any updates either. And last week he wrote saying he’s getting this error…

I updated metaslider to 3.3.3 thinking it could solve it but i get the same issue.

    Thanks for the additional details.

Would you be able to paste the error message into a reply?

    Thanks,
    Dave

When i try to use an image from the media library it doesn’t give an error, it just loads forever and nothing comes up.

When i want to use the upload option, i select the image, it tries to load it and it says: “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

I am able to upload images if i dont use meta slider.
    thanks!

    Hi There,

This a difficult issue to debug as we can’t see the admin.

Has WordPress also been updated? It might be worth getting everything you can onto the latest version available.

Normally these issues are related to:

    – folder permissions
    – image file types
    – conflicts with other plugins
    – conflict with the theme

If you can ascertain whether there are any JavaScript errors that would be useful too.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Sorry i didnt answer before, i was away.

I’m afraid to update wordpress version because this is not a child theme and the update may put everything upside down. I know, it’s not the right way to do it, but i didn’t know at the time. I always told the owner not to update anything because he doesn’t know much about this.

It’s strange that the error happened suddensly if nothing was changed…

If i gave you access to the admin could you take a look?
Sorry, i know this is not much help, but i can’t figure out any solution.

    Hi there,

It sounds like something must have changed, but it will take some investigation to work out what’s happened.

I’m afraid we can’t justify providing this level of support for free. Please try disabling all other plugins once again as it’s highly likely there will be a conflict.

If that doesn’t resolve the issue please consider upgrading to Pro and submitting a ticket with the login details and we’ll investigate further for you.

    Many thanks,
    Dave
