Can't add Social Media URL to footer Icons in Widget section

  • Hi New guy here. Need some help with my social media functionality in the footer section.

    I had a third party update some items on our site and now I cannot access my footer social media links through widgets. In footer 2 it shows “Quick Social share” and when I click on that all I can do is change the header name of that section. I no longer have the list of social media platforms. I need to update one of the URL’s and remove one of the icons but can no longer do it form here.

    What are my options?

  • Are you using Jetpack for social media icons? Do you have access to /wp-admin?

    Figured out the widget was broken and installed a new widget wpzoom

    It is working now.

    Is there an advantage to using jetpack compared to what I am using now?

    Okay great, whatever avenue works best for you.

    Jetpack is convenient because it often comes included with WordPress installs. And it’s useful because it also includes other features like site analytics, security tools and features for general performance enhancement, but if you don’t specifically need any of that, it may not be right for you.
