Can’t add typepad blogs to blogroll

    When I try to add a link in blogroll to a typepad blog, I get the following error;

    Not Acceptable

    An appropriate representation of the requested resource /wp-admin/link.php could not be found on this server.
    HTTPD Server Server at https://www.liveagaindays.com Port 80

    I can add any site that is not hosted on typepad. Any suggestions?

    I have tried putting ;

    <IfModule mod_security.c>
    SecFilterEngine Off
    </IfModule>
    into .htaccess
    nothing changes but this does register an error on cpanel.
    I thought it could be that typepad hosted sites have two parts ie(theirname.typepad.com), but I can do others with similar names but not typepad. Please help.

    that message that you are seeing in most definitely due to mod_security.

    if you cannot disable it, per your second post, you need to talk to your host, or examine your mod_security logs (if you have them available)

    this is the error I get in cpanel

    could there be something other than ‘SecFilterEngine’

    I am new at this, please be patient, I have hot link protection disabled, and appear to have full access to everything. the “moderation” folder in cpaneladdons is empty.

    Why only typepad sites?

    try just what you had only change that to this:

    SecRuleEngine Off

    see if that does it — thats for mod_security 2

    no avail

    Problem fixed, my host changed the mod_security 2 rules. Thanks for the help.
