When I go to “Facebook Business Settings” Apps – I can’t connect “WooCommerce Integration” app which is owned by Automattic. I get message that “your business doesn’t have permission to manage this app.

When I go to “Facebook Business Settings” Partners – I can see Automattic has shared “WooCommerce Integration’ App with me but all permissions are greyed out and switched off.

When I go to “Facebook Business Settings” People (me as admin) – and select “WooCommerce Integration” app I can tick and give permnissions but when I try to save it says – ‘Assets not added so please contact support”

How can I fix this please??

  • Hi @murrayhills,

I understand that you’re having difficulty connecting the WooCommerce Integration app. I’m happy to help with this!

Could you please let me know if you tried setting up the Facebook for WooCommerce extension directly on your site?

If you go to Marketing > Facebook > Get Started and give Facebook permission to manage your business, the app should be automatically set up for you.

Please give that a try and let me know what you find so I can help further

    Hi @sukafia,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have some screen shots images that will help explain my problem. Images are here >> https://photos.app.goo.gl/TGvLzxoY4pSQhddeA

In answer to your question – Yes I have setup Facebook for WooCommerce plugin directly on my site. Please see my first screen shot image.

My WooCommerce Integration App settings in Facebook. Are shown as images 2, 3 & 4.

My problem is I can’t assign WooCommerce Integration App as an asset to my Admin. See images 5 & 6. When I try to save changes in image 5 they are rejected.

I see in image 7 that the WooCommerce Integration App is owned by Automattic and is shared with me.

    Please advise.
    Thanks……………Murray

    Hi @murrayhills

Glad that you have connected WooCommerce store to Facebook!

Not sure what you want to achieve here by sharing WooCommerce Integration App.

Fyi, WooCommerce Integration is configured through one personal account that has or has access to a Business Manager along with other assets (ads account, pixel, pages, etc).

    The screenshot is here: https://d.pr/i/ykLzMj

You can check it on your personal account: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools&ref=settings

Therefore, the one who initially set that up would have access and it could not be shared.

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to let us know!
