I have been unable to add/move/change sidebar widgets since I upgraded to WP 2.5. I upgraded again to 2.5.1 just to see if the code refresh would help – didn’t resolve it. I’m using a modified Chameleon theme. Site is here.

I’ve multiple browsers – Safari, Firefox 2.0 and 3.0 for Mac, 2.0 for PC and IE 7.0 for PC. I’ve also tried several different themes to rule my theme being the problem, and the issue persists across multiple themes.

When I try to manage widgets, I see the list of widgets on the left, only some of which have an add link on them. On the right, after selecting show right or left sidebar, I see the list of installed sidebar widgets. The top widget has no bullet beside it and the edit link works. All other widgets below do have a bullet beside them and the edit link does not work. I can’t remove, move or change widgets.

If I change themes, I can only add the widgets with an add link – all the other widgets listed in my widget list are unavailable for drag and drop into the widget list. Once added, only the top one can be edited and removed, all others do not respond to mouse clicks.

    Thanks.

Never mind. I figured it out. I am using an antiquated Flickr Badge plugin. Once I deactivated that my sidebar widgets worked just fine. Now I need to search for a more updated version of that.

I justed fixed mine inntell.com :). And the problem I see is Javascript. To check and turn javascript on. From ToolBar go to Tools/Internet Option/Security/Internet/Custom Level, then Enable Active Scripting from the list.

PS. If doesn’t work, install Java from Sun.
