can't align slider to centre on page

Hi, I cant’t seem to get my slideshow aligned horizontally centred on a (home)page.
I tried changing (a copy of) the default template as described in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/aligning-slider-on-page.cycloneslider-template-default2{
position:relative;
margin-left:auto;
margin-right:auto;
}I can see the slideshow IS using the template, but adding margin-left:auto; and margin-right:auto; doesn’t seem to have any effect…
What should I do to centre the slideshow?
